Ink-Jet LabelingTrumbull Printing has inked a deal for ink-jetting technology. Trumbull has purchased three brand new Kirk Rudy NetJet systems. This equipment will retire the use of paper address labels and replace with state-of-the-art ink-jet addressing. The equipment is scheduled to arrive in mid-January and be up and running by early February. More information to follow. Please contact your customer service representative if you have any questions.
Fiber Line Being AddedTo better serve our growing customer base and with an eye to the future, Trumbull Printing is installing a high capacity data transfer Fiber line. Once installation of the 5MB/5MB symmetrical line is completed, Trumbull will be able to offer clients blazing bandwidth capacity to make sending/receiving files a faster and more efficient process. Fiber also allows us to immediately scale up our bandwidth needs as our client requirements change in the future. Installation has begun, with an expected "light up" date by end of March 2010.
Ink-It Software InstalledTrumbull Printing has installed Ink-It, a front end ink optimization program. Ink-it reduces the cyan, magenta and yellow inks in the gray areas of color photos and replaces them with black ink, resulting in ink cost savings. Additional benefits include enhanced print reproduction. Color photos look sharper as more image details transfer to the black plate, reducing registration issues. |
